Catching up on my quilting...

I signed up for Amandajean's Star Quilt along weeks ago, but it has taken me awhile to find the fabric I wanted to use. I was inspired by the colours she used in this beautiful quilt, but had to wait until I could collect something similar. Here's my first three blocks for the Star Quilt she's leading everyone in making.

  5. They look lovely. I like so much those colours.
Funny, I have marked the Amandajen'quilt along to try my first quilt. It seems to me easier than the Star.

  6. That red really pops! Are you going to use red in the setting blocks too? Your points all look really nice!

  7. nice job, katherine! it's probably to your advantage to work on a few blocks at one time, though. it saves time. ;) your blocks look great. I love the red.

  8. I'm having the same problem, in that I'm having trouble finding fabrics that I want to use, most especially the background fabric.
I do have fabric in my stash that I wanted to use but the piece is only 3 yards and Amandajean's instructions call for 6 to 7 yards.

As soon as I find the right fabrics, I'll be playing catch up too.
