I've tackled a new project lately. The embroidery kit I found at the thrift store has become my favourite evening project to work on. I have never embroidered a tablecloth before but have been enjoying the simple stitches and bright floss colours.
Stitch by stitch...
and section by section...
I'm making slow, but steady progress.
The above photo shows one quarter of the area I'm to embroider. I have a ways to go before I finish!

ReplyDeleteoh how lovely!! truly beautiful! my great grandmothers did a lot of embroidery and I have a couple things of theirs that I treasure. I learned as a child but haven't done much lately. This makes me want to start a project!

ReplyDeleteHey Katherine,
ReplyDeleteYou brought back memories for me! I was taught to embroider when I was 10 years old by a dear neighbour lady. I still have the emboroidery roll with all the different flosses inside that she gave me.
Your stitching is so beautiful!!
I can't wait to see it! It's so lovely already. :) I like to do counted cross stitch. It's so peaceful to me. I haven't worked on something in awhile, I should get on that! Yet again, you've inspired me! :)
