First off, I want to say thanks for all the lovely comments on the two table toppers I shared yesterday as a part of the Blog Hop. I appreciate hearing from you and enjoyed reading every one of them. Thank you so much!
Next, I want to be sure you don't miss Friday's line-up of sewing talent for the Blog Hop... enjoy!
Friday April 20th
Wondering how my patience has be rewarded?
The waiting is over.
These are the half yard cuts along with the yardage for the backing...
along with this fat quarter stack of Kona goodness. ;o)
Somehow, I messed up. I was a bit surprised to discover that the colours of this stack looked to be blues only online and in person, clearly are not. Even the fabrics at the top of this stack are more green than blue when placed next to my current array of blues. So instead of having 50+ blues to work with I will have about 30. I'm going to make that work. As for those greens? Well, I'm sure they'll make their way into another project because I've definitely become enamoured with solids. Guess I'll just have to keep sewing. Darn. ;o)
Wishing you a fabulous weekend!
Well I have to say that while the bottom of the stack looks green the top most definitely looks blue and if I bought this only to discover it was green right through I would be more than surprised and a little bit not happy! Glad you can use some of it and that you have gone with the flow so easily.
ReplyDeleteWOOHOO!!! I can't believe they have FINALLY arrived! I hope they came with pictures from their extended trip to explain why they took so long to get to you!
ReplyDeleteI can't but think after that long wait you might have been just a little miffed the colours weren't what you expected...
Knowing you though, you'll do something amazing with the leftovers...can't wait to see what you do with those greens.
It's about time they arrived - Canada Post may have been using them as a pillow!!!
ReplyDeleteOut of lemons (and greenish blues), I know lemonade will follow - I have no doubt that you'll turn this around and create something amazing - it might even be something better than your original plans. That's how you SWING!
What an inspirational stack of solids. Blues are tricky, aren't they? I've found that it's hard to get a true blue - often it tends to the green side, or the purple side.
ReplyDeleteWhatever you make is sure to be stunning.
Great news - I love the WHOLE stack!! Those greens will be amazing!! Looking forward to seeing your blue-creations!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome fabrics bundle.Have fun playing with them!!
