It's a new year!
I've been reflecting on many things, including what I want in life and how to make it happen. Which brings me to an article that fits so well with what I've been pondering and one you may also find interesting. Definitely food for thought!
One of the many things I want to work on this year, is my photography skills. Keeping that in mind, when I saw the beautiful photos on Eline's latest post, I was inspired. I began collecting various bits and pieces from my sewing room to see if I could create a pretty collage to kick off a New Year of creativity. Here's what I came up with.
Amidst the various treasures pictured above, are special pieces that belonged to my paternal great-grandmother. I credit her with planting the seeds, then nurturing my love of sewing and needle crafts - which those vintage pieces of hers represent to me. It seemed fitting to begin the New Year with such good memories of joy and excitement for sewing that began in my childhood, thanks to Gram. 2016 - here's to the start of something good!
What a delightful photo Katherine! I love all the details and vintage items you have included! I have some of those Newey hooks and eyes. My packet is red and blue; it was my mothers!

The angle is great.
