Knitted bliss

It's been quiet on the sewing front for me this past week, but my knitting needles have been busy. I've been using up bits from my yarn stash to make warm, handmade goodness for the artists in the household. Here's just a peek at something I've been working on. There's something magical about seeing the simple cable design come off my needles. Makes me feel like I'm really getting the hang of knitting. ;o)

  1. Beautiful blue. I also love doing some crocheting. It's peaceful and I can watch TV at the same time. :)

  4. Gorgeous - I tried a cable pattern once and thought I'd bite my tongue off as I struggled to make my fingers work that way, and not drop a stitch. My sister knits beautifully, and is actually designing a Christmas stocking for me to make for our DD - when done (assuming there are no cables LOL) and she has it, I'll share with everybody, but have to keep it to myself as far as blogging goes for now, to not give away the secret!! I really do love the work you've done on this, looking forward to seeing more! Peg

  5. Cables are definitely good. There is some sort of Zen state reachable by knitting cables :0

  7. Knitting! I love it. Yours is very beautiful! Picked up a knitting book from the library yesterday, starting to think about winter coming. I am going to knit this year.
