WIP Wednesday - Making magic

Those lovely fabrics I shared on my last post have been calling to me, begging for my attention.  Between working on another project and petting these fabrics, I finally decided which idea of what I wanted to make would be first.  Something simple and something fun.

Deciding I could wait no longer, I cut and then stitched together the first block I sketched up.

Only one block in and I'm hooked.

There's a little math ahead of me for the next ones, but I can hardly wait to dive back in.  Don't you just love it when you combine the right idea with the right fabric?  It's magic, isn't it?!

  2. This is such a fun little block. I really love butterfly blocks, but paper pieced blocks don't always go so quickly. A great pieced version is a great solution for this... it is pieced, isn't it?
