Fabric Bouquet

  Look at the pretty bundle of fabric happiness that has arrived to brighten up my week!

 It's my prize for being one of the two winners in the Vintage Rainbow mosaic contest held last month over at Stitched in Color (hosted by Rachel) and sponsored by Fabricworm!   Oh, my goodness and wow. The fabrics are even more beautiful in person.  Lots of fabric petting and longing glances being bestowed on these beauties and they have prompted a couple of design ideas already.  I can hardly wait to start stitching with them!

Vintage Pretty Bouquet

 The theme for our fabric mosaics was a vintage rainbow and it was a lot of fun browsing online, looking through the gorgeous selections at Fabricworm.  It was a wonderful surprise to have my entry selected and become one of the two winners.  If you look close, you will notice that two of my mosaic selections are different than the fabric I received - these were my alternate selections, as I had selected two fabrics that weren't yet in stock - which meant I had more fun fabric shopping ;o).

I'm loving this bundle so much and thought that just in case anyone else might enjoy the treat of  happy coloured, beautiful fabric, I would share the details of my selections with you!

From top to bottom in the picture above:

Aneela Hoey for Cloud9, ORGANIC, Vignette, Petal Turquoise;

Emily Isabella for Birch Organic Fabrics, Homestead, Daisy Bed Sun;

Carolyn Friedlander for Robert Kaufman, Doe, Scratch Leaf;

Huge thanks to Rachel for her inspiring mosaic contest themes, to Fabricworm for generously sponsoring this fun fabric contest and to all that voted for my mosaic!  Thank you so much!

  1. Congrats on winning the contest!

    Sometimes I wonder if we're neighbours, or almost neighbours. I'm on Vancouver Island, down near the bottom.
