The colours of Spring. I made this wristlet and needlebook for my recent giveaway, but I liked the fabrics and colours so much that I had to make something more in them.
Here's the results of some weekend sewing time.
I'm really liking the pink dots for the bag's lining. Please excuse the appearance of pins - I'm not quite finished hand sewing the bias binding on the top inside edges.
Doesn't this set say "Spring" to you?
** Oh, for those of you that are wondering which prize Andrea chose from the giveaway offerrings... she decided on #1. Many thanks to all of you for participating in the giveaway and helping me celebrate the arrival of Spring!

ReplyDeleteIt seems I'm seeing bags and purses everywhere I go. I'm getting all sorts of ideas for one that I am designing to replace my old purse.
ReplyDeleteOh and I noticed in your sidebar that you have a link and participated in one of the Pay It Forward projects. I checked out the links you provided in your posts but couldn't find where to sign up for that one, so I just wrote a post about Paying It Forward as my second post on my new blog. But I did want to thank you for the inspiration.
Oh, what an awesome set! Very springtime indeed :)
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! I love the pink polka dots. Do you work from patterns or just make it up as you go along?
ReplyDeleteLovely bag - definitely says 'spring'. Pink dots are very cute. I had fun making my first bag last weekend.
