the best way to use this little cross stitch piece I made.
I thought I would make it into a little accent pillow and began to sew fabric strips around it.
This is as far as I got. I wondered if it would be better to frame it to hang on the wall instead of making it into a pillow? What do you think?
Hmmm, I like pillows myself...
ReplyDeleteand good luck with the Vintage sewing patterns. And don't worry... everybody looks pretty darn cute in vintage clothes!
I like the hanging idea. Pillows tend to get soiled and that is much too pretty for dirt.

ReplyDeleteI have found cross stitch on aida cloth doesn't wash so well, so a wall hanging would be perfect..
its very cute, I did something similar years ago, before I started patchwork even! a lifetime ago! lol
which do you need worse, a pillow or a wall hanging? (listen to me be practical with others' dilemmas.....) I think it would be adorable either way.
ReplyDeleteVery cute.
ReplyDeleteI like to idea of a wall hanging, especially if you have a frame that will fit it.
Kimberly :)
I'm for the wall hanging. It would look so nice. I tend toward framing crosstitch because it does not wash well on the aida cloth. I have also made small pillow ornaments.
ReplyDeleteI think a wall hanging is perfect. You could make some more with other colours. Will look great, three wall-hangings, or five, or seven...LOL!
ReplyDeleteI think it would be too pretty in the middle of a small friendship quilt!
