It's rather crazy. I've been scooping up vintage patterns for little girls and I have two sons. I guess I'm drawn to the simplicity of the designs and can envision giving them a new twist by using modern fabrics. They also would look adorable made up in vintage fabrics, which is probably why I find them so hard to resist at the thrift stores.
those are so sweet! I especially love the coats - not sure which one more! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, indeed!
ReplyDeleteI wish I have those thrift stores you speak of here in Portugal!
(see my blog next 17th April, please)
Well, I have two sons also, but I just love to sew for girls! So I sew for the daughters of two of my friends and that's nice too! How can one resist those cute patterns??
ReplyDeleteLovely patterns! I'm not sure how old your boys are. Perhaps granddaughters are in your future? We are waiting on the arrival of our first grandchild. Nine weeks to go!
ReplyDeletethose are adorable patterns! I wouldn't be able to resist, either.
ReplyDeletevery sweet...I have a 3 year old who would be happy to gain a new vintage feeling outfit...hey I am just sayin'...lol
ReplyDeleteadorable patterns!
I can't see the sizes on these, K, but I've been wanting to make a little spring coat for my wee Annika! She's a size 6. Do you think I could borrow the coat pattern and trace it out?
ReplyDeleteVery sweet! I tend to buy vintage patterns, too, and yet never use them. I'm new to sewing (that's my excuse ha ha) but I WILL try something soon.
ReplyDeleteLove the coat pattern!
I definitely see why you can't resist the beautiful vintage patterns...They are so extremely adoring and has such a simple and elegant look.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't you make some of it for a special little girly friend - a niece or a neighbourgirl? That's what I do when I need to make something for small girls ;0)
I just love the sweet cover illustrations.
ReplyDeleteYour sons must be getting quite worried! x
