I had so much fun hosting a giveaway last month, that I couldn't pass up the chance to participate in
(which actually continues for the whole week because they are so many blogs participating).
I love Giveaway Day as it is a perfect time to say thank you for visiting my little blog - whether it's your first time or if you've been with me since day one. I always appreciate your comments and love how blogging has connected me with so many lovely friends from around the world.
So thank you for not only reading along, but taking the time to talk to me. :o)
Keeping you in mind, I recently picked up a Blitzen charm pack in anticipation of Giveaway Day - thinking it would work well with the seasonal pillow (Oh, Joy! Patchwork Pillow), I designed and have for free on Craftsy, if you'd like a last minute gift idea or something to sew for your own home décor.
How about some seasonal fabric? I can't be the only one with seasonal sewing projects to finish! Maybe this will help.... |
Rules:
- My giveaway is open world-wide and will close this Friday, Dec. 13th at 5pm PST.
- A winner will be chosen using the Random Number Generator. In the case of a no-reply blogger being drawn, I will re-draw.
- I ask that everyone PLEASE put their email address in their comment as part of their entry. In my last giveaway, approximately 30% of my commenters had no way for me to contact them if they won. That made me sad. This led me to think that many of you believe you are not a "no-reply commenter", but in fact... you are. I really don't want you to miss your chance to win, so that's why I'm asking that everyone leaves their email address this time.
- To enter to win, please let me know in the comments, how long you've been sewing.
(for the supply category, click here.... for the handmade category, click here).
Giveaway is now closed, thanks for entering!
Winner to be announced...

ReplyDeleteForever! I grew up with both Grandmothers, my grandfather, my mother and many of my Aunts sewing for work and pleasure. One of my earliest memories is sitting on my Grandmothers sewingroom floor playing with all the buttons in her button box, listening to the hum of her Singer shop machine. I hand sewed doll clothes, embroidered, and now I quilt. Everyone in my family is shocked that I sew, I was a tomboy and always in a tree or something. Great question, thanks for letting me reminisce. ;-> Toni Anne

ReplyDeleteI've been sewing since I was a teenager, and I'm in my late 40s now - so that would be over 30 years. Ouch! LOL

My mom taught me to hand sew when I was a wee little thing (before I started school but I'm not sure how much before) I suspect she just needed something for me to do while she was sewing. :) But I've only been machine sewing for the last 6 or 7 years. my email is j_momof2 (at) Hotmail (dot)com
ReplyDeleteI've only been sewing since the beginning of this year- but I love it!

I've been sewing since I was about 6 or 7 - sew like 40 years. That year, I asked Santa for a toy sewing machine but Mom & Dad decided I could just learn on Mom's old behemoth that weighed more than I did and lived in the back of her closet. I learned and never looked back. These days, I mostly quilt on my machines.
ReplyDeleteI'd say I've been sewing for almost 50 years! Wow! I started in 5th grade in 4-H.
