Keeping the surprise

I've wrapped up some secret sewing and have been so pleased with the results that I had to share a couple of sneak peeks with you.

Fabric stamps and sweet labels added that special final touch to each - totally inspired by Amy Morinaka at Chick Chick Sewing and found in her book Zakka Handmades.

This was one of those eleventh hour ideas... meaning that I had to hit the ground running with scissors in hand (metaphorically speaking of course, because running with scissors is something you're never to do ;o), trying to meet a deadline.  Thankfully, I've got leeway with the recipients because it took me a bit longer with puzzling things out and then tweaking each successive prototype.

Hopefully, my slight tardiness will be forgotten when they open the package and find these awaiting them.

  5. I agree with you - these fabric stamps are wonderful! I always like to use cotton tapes and some details (fabric stamp, button...) - the result is great!
