Those lovely fabrics I shared on my last post have been calling to me, begging for my attention. Between working on another project and petting these fabrics, I finally decided which idea of what I wanted to make would be first. Something simple and something fun.
Deciding I could wait no longer, I cut and then stitched together the first block I sketched up.
Only one block in and I'm hooked.
There's a little math ahead of me for the next ones, but I can hardly wait to dive back in. Don't you just love it when you combine the right idea with the right fabric? It's magic, isn't it?!

Lovely block, wonderful fabrics! J.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun little block. I really love butterfly blocks, but paper pieced blocks don't always go so quickly. A great pieced version is a great solution for this... it is pieced, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Germany!
It is the best when that happens. Love your butterfly!
ReplyDeleteMagic indeed! Just lovely Katherine! I am particularly loving that chartruse (?) yellow at the moment!
ReplyDeleteGreat block, I see you got inspired by the gorgeous butterfly fabric. Can't wait to see the progresses!
ReplyDeletePerfect idea and perfect fabric=Wonderful block! That is a good equation.
ReplyDeleteOooh I just love that material. And your block is awesome
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty butterfly block, I love it! And those fabrics are gorgeous, I can see why you had to use them! :)
