Paused to snap this photo as I was heading back to the parking lot after going for a short (and cold!) run on the trails in a local park on Jan. 2, before the end of the day. |
I can hardly believe that here we are, already a handful of days into 2017! Wow. Where does the time go? I am feeling rested and recharged, thanks to this past week and am full of high hopes for this New Year and I wish each of you health and happiness for a wonderful 2017!
It is hard to express just how happy and thankful we are to be here. Even though it's winter and perhaps not the season that our area of the world is most famed for, I hope you may see a slice of the attraction it has for us, based on these two photos (taken a week apart from each other over the holidays). My family has a strong affinity for Nature and that is why it makes me practically giddy to say that this beautiful scenery above (and much more) is now a part of our lives.
It is six months since our move, but not a day passes without expressions of happiness over being here. My intentions for the New Year begin with a focus on appreciation - so I want to begin by thanking each of you. I am so happy that you choose to take the time to visit my little corner in blogland and knowing that some of you have been around since I started this journey (my blog turns 10 this year!?!), makes me beyond grateful. Thank you so much!
Thanks for sharing the beauty of your new location. Happy New Year!

ReplyDeleteI thought you were still in the big city and couldn't make sense of your photos because I recognize the location. All was revealed in your words. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures of the place you now live! Having lived in the big city all my life, this is something I can only dream of! Wow, ten years of blogging, we both made it didn’t we! We have become a rare species!
