Here's one of the ideas I've had for using those thrifted bedlinens I've been collecting. You only need the amount of fabric that's in a pillowcase...
to make yourself some funky shopping bags! If you add a pocket to the front of each bag, you can store the bag inside its own pocket for space conservation and convenience.
When folded up inside the pocket, your shopping bag will look like this:
