Red and random...

Wishing a Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends!

Several of my current WIPS seem to have the colour red in them.   Ribbon embroidery, anyone? ;o)
I'm loving the simplicity of red ribbon with linen!

A couple of bits of news I wanted to share with you today...

Have you heard about Jacqueline's Bloggersquilt 2013?

Well, I wasn't aware of it until my friend, Baukje wrote me an email telling me about a lovely quilter named, Jacqueline, and her project.

Jacqueline is making a quilt comprised of the favourite blocks suggested to her by bloggers.   She stitches up each block (in a 6" finished size) to add to her quilt and shares one new block each week of the year.  As of last week, Jacqueline has shared 47 different blocks for her quilt

Baukje suggested I contact Jacqueline and contribute the block I considered my favourite, along with why I chose it.
Want to see what I chose?
Pop over to  see Jacqueline today, as my block is this week's feature.  Then, please consider suggesting your own favourite block for Jacqueline to make (just leave a comment on her blog letting her know you're interested in contributing).

The other bit of news is about the big sale happening over at Craftsy.  Just in case you were in the mood for some fabric or yarn shopping... ;o)
