Mini Make

Call me crazy, but even with all the heart themed projects I shared in my last post, I can't resist making more.  Especially ones that are quick and cute! I wrapped up my week with one such project.

It's called the  I Heart You Mini Quilt and it's a free pattern by Allison Harris over at CluckCluckSew.

  I was able to cut and piece everything in one evening (while I had romantic comedy playing in the background).  Seems only fitting to sew hearts while watching a romantic movie. ;o)

One of my favourite colour combinations! Check out my binding - do you see the tiny pink hearts printed on that yummy red?

Those Pam Kitty Morning fabrics were still calling my name (it seems using them for my mini swoon quilt was only the beginning of my need to sew with these pretties!).  Probably best to warn you, that I see more in my future. ;o)

I managed to finish the mini just as our daylight was receding, but since I prefer natural light for my photos, I had to pop outside to snap these pics.  It snowed all day here and was snowing while I was trying to take photos, so even though I was quick, I ended up with snowflakes on my quilt.

I'm calling this mini a finish for now*, but I may end up adding some embellishments beyond the  "tag" I added in the upper right corner.  The tag is a fussy cut from one of the Pam Kitty lines of fabric and with the words "Sweet Heart" on it, you understand why it seemed perfect to add to a heart themed quilt. ;o)

I'm excited to add this mini make to my sewing room wall and encourage you to give this pattern a go.  It's so nice to have quick and cute sewing projects to mix things up!

I'm linking up my latest finish with Amanda Jean and friends over at Crazy Mom Quilts for Finish it up Friday!

* Edited*
I did decide to add a few more bits of embellishment to my mini! Here's the look after I added some lace and ribbon to the "tag" in the top right corner.

 A close up of the details I added to the tag. See my little ribbon loop with "Be Mine" stamped on it?  Love that wee addition. ;o) Okay, now my mini quilt is done!
